CCNP ROUTE,SWITCH,TSHOOT Exam Outline KitsOn the 25th of January 2010, Cisco® announced changes to the CCNP/CCIP and CCDP certification tracks' courses. These changes ensure that the knowledge and skills gained through these courses accurately reflect what professional network engineers should possess. More emphasis is placed on security, complex routing and switching (such as support for branch offices and mobile workers), and voice and video services. All of the new courses contain a higher percentage of hands-on labs as well as many other benefits. ROUTE vs. BCSI (Routing) • Planning Routing Services – Content introduced from ONT and ISCW • EIGRP – New Advanced Features content added • Implementing an IPv4-based Redistribution System – Redesigned and extended to include IPv6 • E-Learning content added and includes: - New content designed to give students practice in alternative methods of path control - Additional content on IPV6 - New content and case studies give students practice in integrating routing and switching (for branch and mobile workers) and voice and video services SWITCH vs. BCMSN (Switching) • Analyzing Campus Network Designs – Content introduced from ONT and ISCW • Implementing VLANs in a Campus Network – New content and case studies related to Campus Architecture • Implementing Spanning Tree – New content related to EtherChannel implementation and recommended practices • Implementing a Highly Available Network – New content for implementing a variety of complete solutions • Minimizing Service Loss and Data Theft in a Campus Network – Content introduced from ISCW • Accommodating Voice and Video in Campus Networks – New content scaled to job scope and some ONT content is also included • Integrating Wireless LANs into a Campus Network – Redesigned to job scope and inclusion of content from ONT TSHOOT (Troubleshooting & Maintenance) This new course teaches professionals who work in complex network environments the skills that they need to maintain their networks and to diagnose and resolve network problems quickly and effectively. TSHOOT provides information about troubleshooting and maintaining particular technologies, as well as procedural and organizational aspects of the troubleshooting and maintenance process. A large part of the training consists of practicing these skills and reinforcing the concepts by putting them to use in a controlled environment.
